Add Section Numbers to a PDF
Number pages within sections, as A-1, A-2, B-1 and so on.

How it works
Give the page where each section starts and every page is numbered within its own section: the first section becomes A-1, A-2, A-3, the second starts again at B-1. This is how exhibit bundles and technical manuals are usually numbered, because it means a section can be revised without renumbering everything after it.

Questions
- Why number this way?
- So one section can be replaced without renumbering the rest of the document.
- What happens to pages before the first section?
- They are left unnumbered, and the tool tells you how many.
- Can I change the separator?
- Yes. A dot or a slash works as well as a dash.
