How it works
Type a name and every occurrence is found, covered and removed — across two hundred pages as easily as across two. This is the tool for the job redaction actually is: someone hunting a name manually through a bundle will eventually miss one, and missing one is the entire failure. Only the pages containing a match are converted to images, so the rest of the document keeps its text. It removes what it finds and nothing more: the same person referred to by initials, a nickname or an email address will not be caught, so check the result rather than trusting the count.

Questions
- Is it as thorough as redacting by hand?
- More so for the exact phrase — it cannot get tired or skip a page. Less so for variations, which it cannot know about.
- Why did it find nothing?
- Either the phrase is not there, or the document is a scan with no text to search. Run OCR first if it is a scan.
- Does the whole document become images?
- No. Only pages that contained a match.
