How it works

Booklet printing needs pages in an order that looks wrong flat and right once folded: on the outermost sheet, the last page sits beside the first. This works out that order for you and lays two pages on each side of every sheet. Because a folded booklet is always a multiple of four pages, blanks are added if needed and you are told how many.

Questions

How do I print it?
Double-sided, flipped on the short edge, then fold the whole stack down the middle.
Why were blank pages added?
A folded booklet always has a multiple of four pages. The tool reports how many it added.
What is the gap at the fold?
A little space so text does not disappear into the crease.
